Acclimating FW FishThis is a featured page

Acclimation Guide

Q. Why acclimate my new fish?
A. Because the water in the bag has a different Temperature, and PH in your aquarium.

  1. Shut the lights off on the aquarium, and dim the lights down in the room where the fish will be acclimated.
  2. Cut the Top off the Bag. Then float it for 15 Minutes.
  3. Then take a plastic cup, and fill it about 1/2 way up of the Aquarium water, and put it in the Bag.
  4. Repeat step three every 15 Minutes until the bag is full.
  5. Discard 1/2 of the water from the bag.
  6. Repeat step three every 15 Minutes until the bag is full again.
  7. Take a net and lift the aquatic life out of the bag, and release it into the aquarium.
  8. Remove the filled shipping bag from the aquarium and discard the water.

Congratulations! Your aquatic life has been acclimated!

Note: Never release shipping, and/or other water directly into an aquarium.
